Asymmetric Spinnaker Furlers

The Facnor Asymetric furler is the first of its kind. utilizing the FX code 0 system as it's foundation design, Facnor design staff have made it possible for you to furl a spinnaker or cruising chute. Yes that's right a positive luff sail can now be used and furled from the safety and comfort of the cockpit, without the need for a huge crew.

The systems design makes the whole process, from hoisting to flying then furling, a straight forward process.

The system has a drum, again machined from one solid piece of aluminium. This drum has a high quality bearing box and additional tack bearing for fast rotation.

The head swivel is designed in the same manner as the drum. The important factor that makes this system stand out is that the furling is instigated from the centre. The torsional luff rope has a very small line attached to it and equally attached to the sail. This is the point in which the sail first furls. When the sail is furling all of the air is exhausted out through the head and tack, thus leaving a nicely furled, neat sail.
